The 27-year-old has been linked with a move to the Serie A club amid his exile from Ruben Amorim's squad and recent declaration that he is ready for a "new challenge". However, Barcelona and Monaco are also reportedly interested in him.

Milan boss Sergio Conceicao praised Rashford as a "good player" when he was asked about the rumours this week, and club chief Ibrahimovic has weighed in with an endorsement of his former United team-mate.

“I know him very well, I played with him when he was young, he is now an adult and established," Ibrahimovic told . "He did great things with United and today that is his club. How to convince him? Milan is one of the biggest clubs in the world, everyone wants to play here. This is a difficult operation, we'll see if we can talk to him."
