Tah will complete a long-awaited move to Vincent Kompany's side from Bayer Leverkusen when his contract expires this summer, with reporting a deal has been struck. According to Fabrizio Romano, Bayern will have to negotiate a fee with their German rivals to sign him ahead of the Club World Cup.

The Germany international will sign a four-year contract and will undergo a medical next week. Bayern had attempted to sign him last year, but the centre-back ended up staying at Leverkusen, while Real Madrid and Barcelona had shown interest in signing him.

The 29-year-old joined Leverkusen from Hamburg 10 years ago and played a key role as they marched to a first ever Bundesliga title in the club's history. As well as Tah and coach Xabi Alonso, Leverkusen are set to lose Florian Wirtz, with the playmaker appearing to have snubbed Bayern in favour of Liverpool.

Bayern are expected to continue to strengthen in the summer window, having reportedly set their sights on Brighton's Kaoru Mitoma as an alternative to Wirtz.
