Frida Maanum has signed a new Arsenal contract after playing an important role in the club's Women's Champions League final run.

Maanum, who joined Arsenal from Swedish club Linkoping in 2021, has made 150 appearances for the north London side to date, scoring 40 goals. The 25-year-old has now signed a new contract extension, the club confirmed on Tuesday.

After penning a new deal, the midfielder said: "I love playing for this club, everything about it – the supporters, the community, playing at Emirates Stadium. Seeing how the club has developed over the last few years only makes me more excited to continue my journey here.

"We've had such special moments this season, and getting to share those with our supporters has been amazing. I'm looking forward to continuing to celebrate with them and giving everything for this team."

The Norwegian played a key role in the Gunners reaching the Women's Champions League final this year for the first time since 2007. They beat European giants Lyon in the last-four stage. In the 2024-25 campaign, the Arsenal star has played in 40 matches across all competitions, scoring 13 goals and providing five assists.
